Pandemic in NYC: #2

Yesterday my roommate and I suited up in masks and took a trip to Coney Island.  We made sure to be careful and social distance the whole way.  We took a car there and back and were more than 20 feet away from anyone else as we basked in the sun, feet drifting around in the sand.  It was so replenishing for my soul.  I felt overflowing and happy when I was there. Each minute I lay in the sand with the blue sky opened up above me I feel the weariness leak out of me.  We got stuck in traffic a bit on our way home but it was ok because I was sun tired, grateful and I got to see this dog next to us in traffic.

your favorite fake bride to be

Wedding salon was so much fun. Even I could get over how cute of a couple nick and I are lol. A lot of the vendor booths we went to mentioned how we were the chillest least stressed out couple and yea we were chill and not stressed out and that might have something to do with us not planning a wedding lol. Or maybe we’re just young and fabulous idk. You decide. There was a booth with an audio visual company and they sold a dancing robot costume that could should up to dance at the reception and I thought it was the coolest/ most amusing thing. Also I am now very interested in getting married on a beach in Cancun cause it was way less expensive then I thought it would be and also I’ve never been to the beautiful parts of Mexico all the rich white people i ever knew got trashed at every summer. I have been craving a beautiful beach and days with nothing on my to do list for a while now and the urge to go is only getting stronger. I want pina coladas and pools over looking oceans and that tanning oil that smells deliciously like coconuts and summer. Afterwards we went to Nick’s aunts beautiful new house on the upper west side and watched a laughably terrible movie (the Snowman). It’s always so nice to be around them and I hadn’t seen Nick’s mom in too long. Their apartment is so beautiful i hope that one day I’ll get to live somewhere like that and fill the house with my kids and loved ones and be comfortable. It was an almost perfect day. Also this is my new favorite dress.

It was really magical that we came across this street parade while in a car on our way to my childhood pizzeria. I love that specific part of Williamsburg cause it is so full of childhood happiness and magic. I had such a perfect childhood, that the things that were everyday gleams of happiness when I was little still being me joy now. This street fair is one of them. The Catholic Church in my neighborhood puts it on every year to honor a saint. Nick and I went and spent a lot of money. We are big pina colada people and they had them there. We bought one and sipped it and it tasted totally unalcoholic so we asked the vendor if was sure he put alcohol in it and he said just stir it (there was no alcohol in it lol). Then we went to another more celebratory stand and bought another pina colada that was supposed to have alcohol in it (it did not) 🤦🏼‍♀️.

🇲🇽a very Mexican post🇲🇽

The first game Mexico played in the World Cup was on Father’s Day and we won 1-0 against the reining world champs Germany. My dad nick and I watched it in a Mexican bar in midtown and it was us a bunch of Mexicans and a single German lady eating brunch alone at the table next to us lmao. What a head trip. When we won the game my dad asked her to take a picture with the Mexican flag (she declined).
